Q:

Why is Dubai Suddenly Getting Very Crowded?

Has anyone else noticed that Dubai is getting more crowded lately? As someone living here, I’ve seen a big change in the number of people in malls, on the roads, and even in public spaces. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is it due to more tourists, new residents, or something else? Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences!

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too! I’ve been in Dubai for over three years now, and it’s definitely feeling way more crowded lately. Just last weekend, I went to Dubai Mall, and wow—I was honestly shocked by how packed it was. It felt like the whole city decided to be there at the same time! Every corner was buzzing with people, from tourists taking photos to locals shopping.

A lot of my friends have even started moving to other Emirates like Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah because they’re just not as crowded, and honestly, it’s cheaper there too. Dubai’s popularity has made it super vibrant, but it’s also driving up rent like crazy. Apartments that were once affordable are now going for much higher prices, all because the demand is so high.

I think it’s a mix of things—people moving here for work or golden visas, tourists pouring in thanks to all the cool events and marketing, and even the great weather during the cooler months drawing bigger crowds. It’s exciting to see Dubai thriving, but yeah, the crowds and rising costs are definitely something people are starting to talk about more!
